The former France coach Raymond Domenech is a launching a claim for 2.5 in severance pay after he claims he was made a scapegoat for his teams poor performance in the World Cup. He was reportedly sacked from the role of French Football Federation technical advisory board during September. After the shocking performance of France in the recent World Cup, he stood as France coach. The France team failed to make it out of their group. He will launch the claim for compensation through an employment tribunal, his lawyer told LEquipe on Wednesday. The France Football Federation is believed to have sacked Domenech after making three grave errors. It is believed these errors include the Nicola Anelka expulsion from the France squad, the subsequent training boycott and his refusal to shake the hand of South Africa coach Carolos Alberto Parreira after the final group game. The failings of France were taken very seriously throughout the country, with the head of state Nicolas Sarkozy pledging to personally lead the investigation. France started the World Cup campaign with a string of terrible results including a goalless draw to Uruguay and a 2-0 loss to Mexico. The Chelsea striker Anelka is believed to have clashed with Domenech at half time during the game against Mexico. Anelka was later sent home from the World Cup. A protest was the organised between the French squad who refused to train due to the decision which was made.
