Sir Elton John calls modern songwriters pretty awful

Sir Elton John has described todays songwriters as pretty awful and says he is not a fan of TV talent shows. The legendary singer has told the Radio Time that he refused to be a judge on the hit television show American Idol because I wont slag anyone off and also said he finds TV boring. He also defended his decision to perform at the wedding of right wind US talk show host Ruth Limbaugh, who has been accused of homophobia, he said, Im a builder of bridges and knocker down of walls. Elton John, aged 63, entered a civil partnership with his long term partner David Furnish in 2005. It is rumoured that Sir Elton will receive 629,000 for the appearance at Ruth Limbaughs wedding. He said, I was incensed when people said I was throwing 40 years of credibility for money. No. I dont need it. No-one was more surprised than I when Ruth asked. Politically were opposites. It was an opportunity to break the ice. Sir Elton John also spoke about his opinion on talent shows, Im not a fan of talent shows, I probably wouldnt have lasted if Id gone on one. Also I dont want to be on television. Its becoming boring, arse-paralysing brain crippling. I like Simon Cowell, but what he does is TV entertainment.
